Experience
Bob has over 22 years of experience in writing and prosecuting patent applications to issuance. His success rate in getting regular applications allowed is 98%. He has written patents in a wide range of technologies, including: chemical, mechanical, microelectronic packaging, materials, electrical, biotech, solar energy, physics, nuclear, sensors, optical, and computer fields. Bob formed his own patent writing business, East Mountain IP, after retiring from Sandia National Laboratories in 2011. He has written patents for Wavefront Dynamics, Unirac, and STC (the technology transfer office of University of New Mexico).
Bob spent 12 years doing all of the patent work for the Energy & Environment Division at Sandia Labs. Prior to that, he worked as a principal member of the technical staff at Sandia Labs for 17 years doing design, testing, and analysis of extremely high heat flux plasma facing components for tokamak fusion reactor experiments in the USA, England, France, Germany, and Japan.
